My name is Syed Mubashir Rehman and I'm doing my Bachelors in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from PNEC, a constituent college of NUST.
I feel lucky that I got a chance to do an Internship in Vietnam through IAESTE. I faced a lot of difficulties in getting the visa but one of my seniors Ali Khan, an IAESTE alumni and a person who helped me a lot always told me that The whole process is filled with uncertainties But its worth it at the end.
He was right ! I'm now doing my Internship in Thai Nguyen University of Technology, Thai Nguyen City, Vietnam. I'm working in Mechanical department on a project to make a more cheaper and economical machine which straightens and cuts the steel rod to the desired size than an existing machine which is available in the market. Right now I'm working on it's CAD model, well i like my job and my office.
Right now I'm living in Thai Nguyen University of Technology's dormitory, this place has everything so no need to worry!
I share this room with one Indian guys and two guys from Poland. In my neighbors I have an Spanish, an Indian, a Swiss, some Philipenos and a guy from Slovakia ! Below is a link for more photos.
I'm happy that I'm here in monsoon season ! almost every night is a rainy night and it often rains in the day time too.when it rains there is no power shut down or internet problem. well, I'm enjoying this weather with my friends! these are the photos of my first night when it started to rain.
Rainy Day
We were watching the football match on the street, suddenly it started to heavy rain with thunder and lightning as the match finished!
Rainy Night
It was such a great experience ! many took their shirts off! It was raining and raining and we were enjoying a lot!
When I came to Vietnam the fist Vietnamese dish I ate was 'Pho' first I didn't like it much, but when you live in Vietnam you have to get use to with this dish. It is also said that you can not die of hunger in Vietnam because if you don't get anything you can still get 'Pho'

but when I go out I prefer fast food ! there are not many places in Thai Nguyen City for fast food but still there are enough to get good Burger or sandwich or Pizza ! well, here are some photos when I went out to eat with my friend Alice she's a very close friend of mine! in a pizza parlor
we often eat lunch in her class room with her students as The Pagodo (Temple) here gives free food to the students and these are photos when we went out for Pizza it was really very tasty, for the first time I tried a fish pizza; yeah it's weird but I don't know why I never ate fish pizza before, so it was delicious! actually we ordered Pizza and ice cream but what I noticed that here in Vietnam they serve Ice cream first and then the food. well, enjoying food here!

I never though that during my internship here in Vietnam I will get a chance to attend a Vietnamese Wedding! Dinh and Thuytiem invited me and some of the other interns to their wedding. I knew Dinh before coming to Vietnam through Facebook luckily I got a chance to attend his wedding. The wedding was awesome I mean I really enjoyed a lot, I spend a weekend at Dinh's place! It was a kind of international wedding;

a guy from Germany André who also became my close friend, a guy from Spain Pablo who's like a brother to me and Márti a Hungarian girl and of course Vietnamese people. This was a great experience ! The kindness and "Mehman-Nawazi" I received was amazing ! You know, when they serve food and as soon as your plate is empty they bring you more! so if you don't want to eat more, leave some food, man !! another thing, in pakistan we have photos of bride and groom after the wedding but here in Vietnam they are clicked before and they are perfect. I also met Bonsai (Net) and Luyen, they became good friends and we enjoyed a lot!
wedding
but the part I will never forget is, when net mistakenly deleted Pablo's camera pictures and he was like, are you kidding !! well, a great time and some really nice memories ! by the way I was sweating all the time and Thanks to Marti! she always provided me with Tissue papers
This is just nothing, there's a lot more to write and to tell ! like about my trip to Ba Be, Vietnam etc well tomorrow I'm going to Ninh binh, Vietnam.
