Organizing output standard workshop for foreign language specialized students at universities and colleges in coastal and mountain areas

1. Name of event: THE OUTPUT STANDARD WORKSHOP FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGE SPECIALIZED STUDENTS AT UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES IN COASTAL AND MOUNTAINS AREAS: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES.
2.  The purposes

- To improve the quality of teaching and learning languages, meeting the requirements of language output standard for foreign language specialized students in a new stage of development of the country, training high-quality human resources in accordance with the requirements of social opportunity, serving the development of mountainous areas and the northern coast and the development of the country in the international integration.

- To contribute to carry out the objectives of the National Foreign Language Scheme 2020 about the quality of language human resources of the country in 2020.

- To create opportunities for foreign language specialized lecturers to exchange, to share teaching methods and new ideas in teaching foreign languages.

3.  Main content:

The workshop will focus on the following main contents:

- Output standard for foreign language specialized students at universities and colleges in coastal and mountainous areas under the National Scheme 2020: Challenges and opportunities

-  Application of information technology in teaching and learning foreign languages

-  The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)

-  Innovation in training programs

-  New teaching methods

-  New and advanced training models

-  Exploitation of resources for teaching and learning foreign languages

-  Raising foreign language capacity and scientific research for both foreign language specialized lecturers and students.

4. Time, place:

- Organizational time: November, 8th, 2014.

- Register for the conference before 15h on October,30th, 2014.

- Place: Learning resources Centre – Thai Nguyen University

-  Organizing Committee will appraise the report summarization; announce the results before 10/15/2014. The authors whose the report summarization passed the appraisal round will receive invitation to send the full report to the Conference..

- Full report sends before 25.10.2014 to email address hoithaoknn@gmail.com. The selected reports will be published in Language Magazine - Magazine of Science and Technology - Thai Nguyen University

- Format: (see attached file)

-Language: Executive Summary and full report writing in English or Vietnamese
