Call for Papers

The Hanoi National University of Education invites all teachers in the field of English Language Teaching to submit an abstract for the 1st International VietTESOL Conference held in Hanoi, on 09-10 December 2014.

The 1st International VietTESOL Conference is organised by Vietnam’s National Foreign Languages Project 2020 in order to link teachers of English at all educational levels, ranging from primary to tertiary education within Vietnam nationwide together as well as with teachers and scholars in the region and in the world. In addition, VietTESOL Conference also creates a forum where teachers of English in Vietnam share their experience and learn from each other in terms of innovative practices and problem solutions so as to enhance their teaching and their research capacity.

Participants are practicing teachers nationwide (3 teachers at primary, secondary, and high schools from 63 cities and provinces in Vietnam and lecturers who are the US alumni) not to mention the leaders and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Department of Continuing Education, the Department of Primary Education, the Department of Secondary Education, the Department of Professional Education, the Department of Tertiary Education, the Department of Information Technology, the Department of Education and Training at 63 cities and provinces, the US Embassy, British Council, keynote speakers and chairmen, chairwomen from America, England, Australia, etc.

 The 1st International VietTESOL Conference is composed of four parallel sessions, compatible with four educational levels. The content of the papers needs to be in accordance with the particular contexts and textbooks of all levels. 16 papers are selected to be presented and 40 posters are displayed during the Conference.

Shortlisted candidates will be sponsored by Vietnam’s National Foreign Language Project 2020, The US Embassy, and British Council to participate in the conference. Expenses to be covered include transportation (from the hotel to the conference venue), hotel accommodations, meals and handout copies.

Submission of full paper for Conference CD*

*Papers submitted to be included in the conference CD proceedings will be considered for publication in VietTESOL Forum journal. The CD proceedings and Journal will have an ISBN.
