 Abstracts:  The first national Mobile Learning conference held at Ho Chi Minh city University of Education under the sponsorship of National Foreign Language Project 2020, this m-learning conference  will cover many aspects of mobile learning such as mobile communication technologies, services, mobile society, implementation and implications for education etc. The conference is an opportunity for educators to develop new skills and stimulate critical debate on theories, principles and potentials of mobile learning to  make the most of this emerging technology in Vietnam’s teaching context.
Registration deadline: 19th December 2014.

Key speakers:
Dr. Peter Teo
Dr. Peter Teo is Associate Professor and Head, English Language and Literature Academic Group, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has been a language teacher for over 25 years, the last 17 of which were spent at the National Institute of Education as a teacher educator. His teaching and research converge in the areas of literacy education and critical discourse analysis, with a special focus on critical literacy and language teaching pedagogy. In addition, he has co-edited four books, including three on language teaching published by Pearson-Longman. He has also been involved in five research projects, three of which as principal investigator.
Dr. Nguyen Van Long
Nguyen Van Long, is currently vice-president of the College of Foreign Languages, The University of Danang, where he has been working as a lecturer since late 90s. He received his MA in TESOL Studies from the University of Queensland in 2005 and his PhD in Applied Linguistics (Specialized in Computer-Assisted Language Learning - CALL) at Massey University. Long has received a number of outstanding grants for his contributions in research. He has published widely in the areas of educational technology and communication in foreign language learning and teaching, sociocultural perspectives in language education, digital literacy, collaborative learning, and language teacher education.
Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu
Nguyen Ngoc Vu is Dean of English Department, HCMC University of Education. A linguist, language teacher and IT programmer, Vu is known for his works in E-learning and Technology in Language Teaching. His well-known ED Quiz software package was awarded national prize in Vietnam Technology Innovation 2012. He was also recognized by Microsoft as 1 of the 50 most innovative educators in educational ICT in 2011. Vu holds an MA in TESOL, Ph.D. in Cognitive Linguistics and more than 20 educational technology certificates.
Mr. Khoa Anh Viet
Khoa Anh Viet holds a MA in TESOL Studies at the University of Queensland, Australia and is a Ph.D. candidate in TESOL Studies at ULIS-VNU. He is currently  the Director of IT Centre, University of Languages and International Studies, VNU Hanoi. He has been involved in different activities in designing and teaching courses in ESL pedagogy, language proficiency and ICT in LT delivered in both face-to-face and online modes. He is a member of VietCall (an association for ICT experts in language education).
Mr. Nguyen Van Tuyen
Nguyen Van Tuyen is a specialist in training ICT in ELT application in the National Foreign Language Project 2020, Vietnam. His current roles in the Project 2020 of MOET of Vietnam are consultant, trainer and panelist of the Advisory and Assessment Board on software quality and other open language learning resources. He earned a scholarship granted by HASEBE Scholarship Foundation in 2000 for his excellence and endeavor in his undergraduate program. He received the first prize in a competition entitled “Nationwide foreign language teachers competition for creative applications of ICT in ELT” in 2014 at HCM University of Education.
